The Bulgin 4000 Series Buccaneer range is a compact family of circular connectors designed to provide reliable power and data connectivity in demanding industrial and outdoor environments. The range combines a rugged construction with a secure locking mechanism, making it suitable for applications exposed to dust, moisture, vibration and mechanical stress. The series includes dedicated connector solutions for both power distribution and USB data transmission requirements.

Available in a variety of connector styles, the 4000 Series includes cable connectors, inline connectors, rear panel mount connectors, overmoulded cable assemblies and a comprehensive range of accessories. Connector options support both power and data applications, enabling the range to be used across industrial equipment, instrumentation, communications systems and outdoor installations.

A key feature of the 4000 Series Buccaneer range is its high level of environmental protection. When correctly assembled and mated, connectors are rated to IP66, IP68 and IP69K standards for protection against dust ingress, water immersion and high-pressure washdown conditions. The connectors are additionally tested to EN60068-2-52 Salt Mist (Cyclic) Marine Severity Level 1, making them suitable for marine and coastal applications.

The range includes dedicated solutions for:

  • Power connections up to 16A and 600V AC/DC, depending on connector configuration
  • USB 2.0 data connectivity with transfer rates up to 480Mbps
  • Industrial automation and control equipment
  • Instrumentation and monitoring systems
  • Marine and transportation equipment
  • Outdoor and harsh-environment installations

Manufactured using robust engineering polymers, corrosion-resistant metal components and gold-plated contacts, 4000 Series connectors are designed to deliver long service life and dependable performance. Shielded data variants are available for USB applications, while a comprehensive range of cable glands, sealing caps, coloured identification O-rings and washers enables flexible installation, system identification and maintenance.
