The Weller WE 1010 soldering station set consists of a WE1 station, a WEP70 soldering iron fitted with an ETA 1.6mm screwdriver style soldering tip and a PH70 safety soldering iron rest with a soldering tip cleaning sponge.

The station has been developed especially for both education and as an entry-level professional station. It has many of the software features found on professional Weller stations, plus, it is both easy and economical to use.

A welcome upgrade

I recently upgraded from a XYTronics analogue soldering station to the Weller WE1010 station. Whatever soldering iron I use it needs to be able to cope with both heavy duty situations (UHF coax connectors and sockets) and light duty - fixing passive components to PCBs. This soldering station is now used on an almost daily basis and has not let me down. The solder joints are of a consistent quality and having a digital readout of the tip temperature I always know the status of the iron tip. It is lightweight and comfy to hold which is an added bonus. The timeout function (can be set up in the menu) prevents the tip being burnt if you become distracted by the telephone or similar. Definitely worth a five star rating and would certainly recommend this for the casual or serious user. Nigel Booth, M0CVO M0CVO Antennas.
