The R-78C9.0-1.0 is supplied with an input voltage of 12-42V and an output voltage of 9.0V. It features a high efficiency level of up to 96%, short circuit protection and thermal shutdown. Q. What decoupling is recommended for this part?

A. Hi Donald, thank you for your question. Looking at the technical data sheet.it seems they recommend a MLCC 10uF capacitor.
