This
Arduino shield uses the innovative
easyRadio system to allow the
Arduino boards to communicate wirelessly over the 900MHz ISM band.
easyRadio has been introduced to provide an innovative and effective solution for short range devices.
easyRadio was the original 'smart' radio and is suitable for a wide range of applications across development, education and hobbyist, where there is a demand for robust and reliable communication.
Using this shield the host
Arduino board can wirelessly send and receive (half duplex) up to 180 Bytes of data per packet, seamlessly delivered and accessible by all other hosts within range, without the need for bit balancing or elaborate coding schemes.
This device provides considerably greater range, using less power than similar Wi-Fi or Bluetooth devices operating in the overcrowded 2.4GHz bands. It is also possible to optionally configure parameters such as frequency, bandwidth, power output and data rate so that multiple devices may be used at the same time with no interference between them or other RF devices.
- Range 200m
- Built-in temperature sensor usable by Arduino board
- Ideal for 'sense and control' applications
- LED indication of operation
- Bi-directional link, no RF protocol software required
