Ideal for splicing most photographic films for processing by developer chemicals. Rubber resin adhesive offers high adhesion with excellent chemical resistance.

The long-life backing of the 3M™ polyester tape 8422 has a black, opaque support and enables splice detection with automatic sensors and devices. In addition, it offers an additional abrasion protection for the sealing, edge and colour coding. The rubber resin adhesive sticks well on a variety of photographic films, offers excellent resistance to chemicals and solvents and is characterised by high shear strength. The adhesive tape remains flexible at 50°C and is dimensionally stable up to a temperature of 150°C.
