Q. What fuse is required for the 318C Multimeter? I need to replace the 400mA fuse. The current one inside is a HV610 ASTM 400mA, but I cannot find this anywhere and the manual just states replace with suitable fuse. I assume this is a fast blow?
A. Hi Andrew, thank you for your question. The fuse would need to be fast blow. We would recommend 54-5706.
Q. Should we be using a 250mA fuse with the new style 318? We have always used a quick blow 2A fuse before. In the past with older models, the 250mA fuses seemed to blow very often when the students were carring out experiments.

Q. I need to replace the 10Amp fuse. The fuse specified in the Operators Instruction Manual is 26-0425: F10A/250V which shows as a discontinued item on your website. The markings on the back of the meter gives the fuse type as 2F 10A/250V. What is the correct replacement item please.

Basically an excellent DMM with large display and auto-off facility. BUT ... Rapid should update the user manual asap with the correct information about the 2A ultra fast-blow used in this meter (and if necessary for the 10A fuse too)

Large display easy to read.The transistor tester is useful for our students to test transistors . Generally a good buy !
