7 Segment 14.2mm (0.56in) high characters
Floating point gives readout from 0000 and 0.001 to 9999
Common anode or common cathode configuration
White segments with grey display surface maximises on/off contrast
Connections run along top and bottom of display
CA56-21EWA and CA56-21GWA (-21 denotes clock type) can be used as a clock display

Q. The datasheet for this component doesn't fully explain how to drive it. How do you drive this display?

A. Hi Adam. Thank you for your question. The displays with more than one digit within the same block are intended to be driven in a multiplexed mode. You would need a microcontroller to drive this display. Multiplexing reduces the number of control lines.
