The Gossen Metrawatt M660C METRAFUSE FD PRO is a professional fuse and circuit breaker detector designed for the rapid identification of protective devices within live electrical installations. The system consists of a transmitter and receiver, enabling electricians and maintenance engineers to accurately determine which fuse or circuit breaker protects a specific circuit without disrupting the electrical installation.
The transmitter connects to the circuit under test and injects a modified high-frequency signal using the circuit's own AC power supply. The receiver then detects this signal at the distribution board using a ferrite transducer scanning tip, providing clear visual and audible confirmation when the correct protective device is identified. The system is capable of operating over cable runs of several hundred metres, making it suitable for residential, commercial and industrial fault-finding applications.
