Buy GENIE Microcontroller C08 IC - a low-cost microcontroller programming system designed exclusively for schools and colleges. The free, user-friendly flowchart software allows you to add intelligence and control to your new and existing design projects. No separate programmer is required and downloading is via a USB or serial cable.

The heart of the microcontroller system is the microcontoller C20 IC, which has 20 pins. It is possible to run multiple programs at the same time on a single chip and also to run and test programs live on a connected GENIE chip.

The chips are designed to work with the GENIE flowchart programming software for Microsoft Windows™ and there are free online resources and community website at www.genieonline.com.

Q. Hi, I tried to order the C20 chips a couple of weeks ago, but the only available option was the version 2, which is only compatible with Circuit Wizard 3. We have got in touch with the manufacturers and they have assured me that the C20 version 1 should still be available. Can you shed any light on this as I have about 15 kids waiting in the chip for their GCSE project work and we currently run Circuit Wizard 2 and have no plans (as yet) to upgrade. many thanks, Barry Croft

A. Hi Barry, thank you for your question. We have both versions available; version 1 is 13-6003 and version two is 13-6043.

Q. Hi, does every genie microcontroller comes with the download socket?

A. Hi Jos. Thank you for your question. The download socket is not included with just the chips. However the project kits have the download socket.
