The Basetech BT-400 is a Moisture Meter that is used for comparatively measuring the moisture level of wood based materials and mineral construction materials. The moisture level can be comparatively controlled over a particular time span. The measurement is carried out via two insertion sensors, which are secured onto the material to be measured, or are stuck into the material.

The insertion sensors are subject to wear and tear and therefore can be changed. In addition to moisture, the battery operated device also selectively displays the ambient temperature in the display.
