I'm a hobbyist using a thermostatic iron designed for 60/40 solder, sometimes making toys for a Small Person. This is a great price for trying a new alloy.
With a dirty iron tip, while leaded solder just about worked this was unusable. Tip was long overdue a good clean, now this 0.75%Cu flows just fine.
0.8mm is a bit thick for my liking, but 0604 SMD is still possible.
Haven't tried it with a beginner. Can't comment on long term reliability.
