Q. Is this solder flux cored?
A. Hi Mike, thanks for your question. Yes, the solder is flux cored.
I'm a hobbyist using a thermostatic iron designed for 60/40 solder, sometimes making toys for a Small Person. This is a great price for trying a new alloy. With a dirty iron tip, while leaded solder just about worked this was unusable. Tip was long overdue a good clean, now this 0.75%Cu flows just fine. 0.8mm is a bit thick for my liking, but 0604 SMD is still possible. Haven't tried it with a beginner. Can't comment on long term reliability.
