Ridiculously bright
Hi, got two of these this morning. As per a lot of high optical power 5mm LEDs it has the anode connected to the physically larger of the two pins, and at 20mA both are already over 18,000 mcd. As these are under test, haven't tried putting more than this through them but one thing you must watch out for is heat. High power diodes have a large heatsink lead for a good reason, without provision for cooling it will not last very long even at 3.2V so it will need to have an inline regulator ideally with temperature feedback to keep current below the CW 70mA limit. They can take 120mA pulsed but maximum 10% duty cycle. Would recommend using a heat shunt with these while soldering as the cathode pin is very fragile.
