Q. would a 3 volt button cell CR1616 power one of these led bulbs?
A. Hi Chris. Thank you for your question. You can run these 5mm White High Luminosity LEDs off 3V.

Q. what's the difference between the other Type of LED part 55-1547 and how can the same current and power give off the same luminance . thanks
A. Hi Dean. Thank you for your question. 55-1543 is measured at 5800mcd whereas 55-1547 is 1560mcd both measured at 2.9V and 20mA, this is achieved within the design of each LED.

Q. I intend to use these in model railway coaches. If they appear too bright can I dull them down with some paint?
A. Hi Ian, thanks for your question. Yes, you can use paint to diffuse the LEDs.

Q. Are these LEDs suitable for use in model boat lighting with 6Volt battery supply. If so how many can be used in series?
A. Hi Colin. Thank you for your question. These LEDs run at 3 volts so only 2 would be needed in series to run at 6 volts.
