Specification explanation: The "skin-effect", also known as current displacement, is a physical phenomenon caused by high-frequency alternating currents. The current density inside the conductor reduces compared to that at the outer surface as the frequency increases. The inner cross-section area of a conductor through which high-frequency alternating current is flowing practically does not do any transmission function.
