This range of Siemens SITOP Uninterruptible Switched Mode Power Supplies, already offer maximum reliability in this respect. But in order to protect 24V loads from longer power failures as well, the power supplies can be upgraded with DC UPS modules.

For flexible use, there is the SITOP UPS500S. These 15A Basic DIN Rail Units are available in 2.5kW and 5kW versions. A maximum of 3 SITOP UPS501S expansion modules rated at 5kW can be connected in parallel to increase the buffer times.

The UPS500P is a member of the SITOP family and is intended for the short-time buffering of 24 VDC operated SIMATIC panel PCs. They are available for 5 or 10 kW, and provides up to 7A of output current. The oblong metal enclosure of the UPS module is also suitable for installing on HMI support arms.

This innovative SITOP UPS500 Range is based on absolutely maintenance free capacitors with a long service life. Even at temperatures of 50°C they still have more than 80% of their capacity after 8 years, so there is no need to replace the energy stores. Because the capacitors do not emit any gas, the control cabinet does not have to be ventilated.
