This project introduces astable circuits and also other important concepts including how resistance and capacitance affect timing circuits and the use of a transistor as a switch.
There are a number of possible outcomes for the circuit including electronic decorations, a police car/fire engine or advertising.
- Frequency of the astable circuit can be varied
- Different outputs can be used
- Battery-powered
- The PCB has space for up to five outputs on either side
- Professional double-sided PCB with silkscreen and solder-resist
- Empty PCBs are available separately, order code 70-9042
- Suitable for Key Stages 2, 3 & 4 (ages 7 to 16)
