A miniature bi-colour 3mm LED in a true 3mm diameter, housed in a milky white package. The diodes are connected in a common cathode configuration and will display red, green or, by connecting both red and green together, a third colour (yellow/orange).

Whilst common anode Red/Green Led's are easy to acquire, these COMMON CATHODE ones are less so and fitted my needs exactly. Limiting the current draw seems to have little affect on LED brightness which is another big advantage.
