The Hammond PJ Series Polyester Junction Box is designed for use as an instrument enclosure, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housing, electrical junction box or terminal wiring enclosure.
It provides insulation and watertight protection to IEC 60529, IP66, where equipment may be hosed down or otherwise become very wet.
Ideal for use in applications with high temperatures or highly corrosive environments.
The moulded fibreglass polyester enclosure with matching door, can be easily punched, cut, or drilled.
It comes in a light grey finish and features enhanced UV inhibitors to protect against outdoor weathering.
The door is supported by a continuous stainless steel hinge and is secured with Snap Latch door fasteners, which include provision for the addition of a padlock.
A captive, oil resistant gasket provides a seal when the door is closed
10-32 threaded brass inserts are provided on the inside rear of the enclosure, to enable fitting of an optional internal mounting panel. Mounting hardware is included.
Threaded brass inserts are also provided to the rear of the enclosure for fitting of mounting feet/brackets.
Stainless steel mounting brackets and hardware are included to enable wall-mounting of the enclosure at the rear.
Optional inner panels are available in a white powder coated steel finish.
