Cracking little boxes
These little enclosures are cheap and handy for adding "in line", using cable grommets for adding small active (or possive) electornics to cables. I use them for making external IR sensors for projects that require a remote control, so that the little box can be bolted or glued to a surface. The whole series is sturdy enough to withstand general use, but thin enough to easily be drilled/cut/modified - I use a scalpel for cutouts. Not sure how they would fare for large scale production, but for prototypes they're great.
