This Van De Graaff generator has been specially designed for electrostatic experiments, and where a source of high voltage is required.

The generator is mounted on a stable base along with a crank pulley that is rotated by hand.

Q. Hi I want this for a science party so the question I have (which is very scientific) Will it make my hair stand on end?

A. Hi Sabrina, thank you for your question. If touched for long enough and your hair is reasonably clean, it will gently make the hair follicles charged so they repel each other and make the hair stand up.
