Fun to use, vibrant colours

Intense colour in a powder form which is sprinkled by way of a hole in the top of the tub. This can be mixed with water to use as a standard water colour, mixed with a thickener or any other medium for specialist effects. Simply shaken onto paper then spritzed with water gives intense explosions of colour which can be left or brushed out as desired. A little goes a very long way and it's so versatile it represents great value for money.
Great 'on trend' product

Watercolour is very popular at the moment and these pigment powders work amazingly to give lots of different effects. They can be mixed with water to just make a watercolour 'paint' or dilute. They look great when spritzed with water and the coloured crystals explode with colour. Tip from the internet which has helped me is to make a pin prick hole in the tops so you can use them like a salt shaker to reduce waste and to be a bit more precise when sprinkling
Strong colour, great fun to use -wonderful results

These water-based powdered paints come in a great range of colours and can produce exciting art quickly and easily. Their dense pigments give bold colours for strong colourful work - however if used dilute they can be as versatile as watercolour.
I prefer to use them in powdered form for a background, carefully sprinkling onto wetted canvas or paper, very free-form - each work will be unique! As the powder hits the dampened surface, the colour bursts forth, mixing, merging with other colours that you sprinkle in. Then you can treat it like a silk painting & go for other effects - sprinkle salt & it will take in the pigment giving a delicate effect.
There is so much you can do with these. I would advise that you cover any work surface to protect from wild sprinkling enthusiasm!!

Lovely vibrant colours. Can be sprayed with a mister or mixed with water to work as regular watercolours. Spraying with mister can create some great unexpected results, it can also create some disasters, so be prepared for surprises. Fun to use for backgrounds etc. Will last a long time as only a tiny amount of the powder is needed. Best value I've seen them here.
Not just for schools!

Brusho is a fantastic product for artists too. There are YouTube videos showing what can be achieved with it, and a DVD and book by Joanne Boon Thomas show how to achieve marvellous effects with it. I bought these as a present for an artistic friend, and she was delighted. The price from Rapid is excellent, as is their service.

Great and very versatile powdered inks. Because they are dye based, the granular powders themselves are made up from several component colours resulting in some potentially very interesting effects when used as a powder on damp paper. These can also be made up in advance as inks and stored for a reasonable period of time, ready for use without separation occurring. The colours are intense and transparent and also appear to be at least fairly light fast. They can be used in a similar way to watercolours or used to colour fabric, pasta, pva glue or sand to name but a few things. They will stain but clean away from skin in a very few washes. These inks are great value, as a little can go a very long way and the ability to vary the intensity of the colour by adding more or less powder is very useful. Their powdered format also means that they take up virtually no storage space and will potentially last forever. Rapid has the best price you will find them at anywhere, although if I were forced to pay twice this they would still be worth it!
