Good, but quite hard to install.

I bought this because I have a load of wooden handle hammers, either with a horrible and loose handle, or no handle at all. I did not look at measurements, I just hoped it would fit one of my hammers, which it did. It fitted onto a club hammer I got second hand cheap, but had such a rotten handle and loose head I never used it, for safety reasons.
First, as indicated in instructions, I used a drill to remove the old handle, which went fine. Then I filed down the handle to fit in, which was quite hard, but with various tools it worked. Then it said to cut a slot in the middle, which I did. Then I put it onto the hammer head (you need a second hammer to do this, if you dont have one then borrow one, buy one, or use a rock), and put in a wooden wedge. They did not supply this, which was quite obviously them trying to increase their profit, but not a problem, because I cut one out of a scrap of hardwood I had. I then inserted it, and put in the wedge as it said. It suggests putting in two wedges, but only one is supplied, so I did that. Then, just for good measure, I filled the gap with epoxy.
Unfortunatly, it had all the branding on it in horrible font, which made the tool look dreadful, so I had to sand it down, which does mean I will have to varnish or wax it.
In all a good product, and I will buy some of different sizes for my other two hammers with rotten wooden handle/no handle. There is also one available for claw hammer.
