Q. Hi, What gauge wire does this go down to i.e. if not set right will it cut through wire?
A. Hi Martin. Thank you for your question. These wire strippers are suitable for 0.3 to 5mm diameter wire. If the wire strippers are set for smaller wire and you try to strip larger wire then yes it would be possible to cut or damage the wire. You would need to reset this each time the wire you are stripping changes size.
