Q. What is meant by "non-wettable" for this product?

A. Hi Greg. Thank you for your question. Weller tell us that the non-wettable tips are not for soldering, but are for localised heating, heat sealing, pyrography, hot cutting e.g. stencil cutting etc. They have no plating so they are actually more efficient at transferring heat.
