Q. My existing TCS tips have a split tubular part (by design), and require a spring clip to hold them fast to the iron. Are these the same ones? Are they compatible?

A. Hi Mike. Thank you for your question. Yes the design has changed from the old split ring they have upgraded with a spring inside for better heat transfer, they are a little more difficult to fit - it just requires a pair of pliers and a bit of force but they do fit.
