Adafruit 1438 Arduino Motor / Stepper / Servo Shield Kit

A design for a fully-featured motor shield that can power many simple to medium-complexity projects. Amongst the features included in this kit are servo connections from dedicated timer, 4x H-Bridges with chipset to run motors on 4.5 to 36V DC, up to 4x bi-directional motors with individual speed selection, up to 2x stepper motors with multiple stepping types, big terminal block connectors for easy and versatile connections, provision for connecting external power.

• 2x Connections for 5V 'hobby' servos connected to the Arduino's high-resolution dedicated timer, with no jitter
• 4x H-Bridges: L293D chipset provides 0.6A per bridge (1.2A peak) with thermal shutdown protection, internal kickback protection diodes. Can run motors on 4.5 to 36V DC
• Up to 4x bi-directional DC motors with individual 8-bit speed selection (gives approx. 0.5% resolution)
• Up to 2x stepper motors (unipolar or bipolar) with single coil, double coil or interleaved stepping
• Pull down resistors that keep motors disabled during power-up
• Big terminal block connectors to easily hook up wires (10-22AWG) and power
• Arduino reset button brought up top
• 2-pin terminal block and jumper to connect external power
• Tested compatible with Arduino Mega 1280 and 2560, Diecimila, Duemilanove, and UNO
• Kit comes with all parts necessary, unassembled
• Downloadable, easy-to-use Arduino software library with examples
• Motors and Arduino not included
