This time-delay fuse from Bussmann has been designed with an optional open fuse indication on select ratings (see data sheets).
Other features include the separate overload and short-circuit elements, providing time delay for sizing of high inrush loads linked with Class J current limitation, while selective coordination ratio of 2:1 (within low-peak fuse family) prevents electrical shutdowns from extending beyond the failed circuit.
Series combination ratings with branch circuit breakers allows broad range of coverage, independent of breaker manufacturer.
- Minimum 10sec time delay at 500% overload
- Minimises needless fuse openings due to temporary overloads and transient surges
- Provides back-up protection against motor burnout (from overload or single-phasing)
- High interrupting rating to safely interrupt overcurrents up to 300,000A
- High degree of current limitation due to the fast speed-of response to short-circuits
- Faster response to damaging short-circuit currents
- Reduces let-through thermal and magnetic forces
- Length: 60.5mm
- Diameter: 26.9mm
- Nominal current: 40A
- Nominal voltage: 600V AC
- Manufacturer's part LPJ-40SP
