The Powerline 8 is an intelligent charger that can take 1-8 AA or AAA batteries. It has a charging current of 500mA with individual supervision of each battery. The charger offers multiple over charging protection per battery, auto cut-off function, trickle charging, LED charge state indicators, reverse polarity protection, faulty battery detection and alkaline battery detection.

In addition, the Powerline 8 has a 5V 1000mA USB socket for charging devices with USB connection e.g. mobile phones. Included is a 100-240V AC Power supply with UK and EU interchangeable plugs.

Q. Can you leave the batteries on charge until you need them. Is it possible to overcharge?
A. Hi Nicholas, thank you for your question. This charger will switch into a trickle charge mode once the batteries are fully charged. The unit should really be switched off, the batteries would hold charge once fully charged.
