The Adafruit Resistive Touch Screen to USB Mouse Controller is a great way to add touch screen to an existing project or to build into your next project. Using the AR1100 interface chip, the board appears as a mouse with Windows, Mac or Linux operating systems. Connecting to the touch screen is straightforward, there are 2 x digital and 2 x analogue inputs and most screens with a flexible cable (FPC) will plug into the onboard connector. If you want to you can also interface to the board via a serial TTL UART. The calibration software is Windows only, but once calibrated the screen can be used with any system.
Supplied as a fully assembled and tested board, no soldering is necessary. Adafruit provide a free guide to help you get started.
