The TCS230 lowers colour light using an 8 x 8 array of photodiodes. When using a current frequency converter, the measured values of the photodiodes are converted into a square wave at a frequency directly proportional to the light intensity. Finally, we can use the Arduino board to read the square wave output and get the results for the colour.
