Q. I need to run the two secondaries in parallel to provide double the current, is this OK? (Alternatively I could use two bridge rectifiers and join their outputs in parallel... but I would rather save the cost.)
A. Hi Richard, thank you for your question. You will achieve the full VA of the transformer if both secondary windings are connected in parallel. In this case this is a 300VA transformer with 2 secondary windings rated at 150VA each.
