Q. Is this 8 core or 12 core as there is conflicting information on your web site?
A. Hi Carol. Thank you for your question. 02-0264 is 8 core. 02-0265 is 12 core.

Q. Is this cable suitable for use outside (for instance in automated gate systems)?
A. Hi Mike. Thank you for your question. You could use this outside, however, it is not armoured or anything. As long as it is clipped to a wall or run underground in a plastic pipe it will be OK. It is not suitable for overhead suspension.

Q. The technical specification for this range of cables does not give the size of the conductors (such as 7/0.2 for 7 strands of 0.2mm diameter wire) or the current carrying capacity. For many applications the current capacity is much more important than the voltage rating. Can you supply these two pieces of information?
A. Hi Bill, thanks for your enquiry. Each cable has 7 x 0.2mm strands. I have tried repeatedly to get a datasheet for this cable range with no success so am not able to advise on current capacity for this cable. What I can do is direct you to a similar cable – 02-0282. Each core has 16 strands – each 0.2mm each strand – with a carry capacity of 2.5A per core.
