A regulated 12V DC-to-AC inverter to power 230V AC equipment up to 150W from a suitable 12V car or lorry battery. Due to its high performance (>90%), the inverter generates very little heat. The high stability of the output frequency makes it suitable to power sensitive devices. The output is a modified sine wave so it is suitable for powering domestic appliances such as videos, portable TVs etc.

It is important to ensure that the power rating of the appliance is less than the continuous power of the inverter.

Input connection is via a Cigar Lighter plug. Output is via a standard UK 13A mains socket.

Q. I am a Chauffeur and need a converter that has surge protection etc so that I'm protected if the clients use this to charge their laptops etc. does this come with this or is there one that does?
A. Hi Nick, thanks for your question. These invertors do not have any surge protection built in but you could add a extension socket with surge protection built in. Please see our two parts: 23-9213 and 23-0550.

Needed some back up power to keep my laptop running for a day for race timing. The battery is usually fine, but this will provide additional peace of mind to top up the battery a little. Will let you know how it goes when tried in anger!
