The connector simply clips to the rear of a panel- mounted LED and is retained in position by a patented clamping device.

A. Hi Emma. Thank you for your question. This LED holder is suitable for virtually all 3mm and 5mm through hole LEDs, so it should be suitable for use with 55-2804.
Q. Will this hold standard 5mm LEDs eg 55-1790?

A. Hi Chris. Thank you for your question. Yes these will connect to the solder less LED holder.
Making a shift light array of 5mm LED. These connectors wiil allow me to replace blown LED's very easily as they can be pulled form the lens and the holder to be replaced. I have inserted the resistor in the lead from the holder and shrunk insulation over it so no soldering when changing LED.
The solder-less LED connectors are brilliant for the model. I made all my scale boat's deck lights from them, using car body filler to cover the exposed wires and shape them to look like original light fittings
