Q. I am looking for some bright white leds for a school project, the students are making lanterns. Would this one be suitable?

A. Hi Chris, thank you for your question. These TruOpto 5mm white LEDs would be suitable, there are 3 brightness levels in this range.

Q. Hello, on these white LEDs, are the legs different sizes so that you know which one is positive or negative?

A. Hi Jack. Thank you for your question. On a colour LED the longer leg denoted the positive (anode) connection, however this is normally reversed for infra red LEDs.
