TruOpto 3W 3-LED Round Module

<p>These round type LED modules consist of three power LEDs arranged on an aluminium substrate to produce a module that is ideal for a wide range of applications such as: small space lighting and mechanical equipment lights.<br/><br/> Also available are high efficiency lenses suitable for use with both LED modules. The lenses are available with either a diffused, transparent or crystal diffused surface treatment.</p>

31 March 2014 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 55-2413
Q. I have very limited head room in my application and the pdf file for the LEDs only appears gives the diameter and centres but not the height. Do you know the height. Also there are no physical dimensions for the lens.
A. Hi Alan. Thank you for your question. The LED module is approximately 7.5mm high (in total) and the base is 1.5mm (ideally should be mounted on a heat sink) and total height including lens (55-2423) is approximately 15mm.

Q. The datasheet for the lens for this series lists 3 types of lens finish (P, M & Z) with different light dispersions. Could you please tell me which one you are stocking?
A. Hi Ben, we are offering the 'M' variation of this 3-LED round module. Sorry for the confusion.

23 January 2012 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 55-2415
Q. Do I have to use current limiting components when I use this product.
A. Hi Andrew, thanks for your question. Limiting or protecting components are only required if the supply voltage is in excess of the voltage required by the unit – to effectively lose the unwanted voltage. In this case, provided the supply is between 10 & 12v there is no requirement (we would suggest 11V if possible)
