Q. Can these led's be run from a 12v source (eg car battery) 4 in series with a regulator or limiting resistor? Also what size of heat sink is necessary? Are there any lenses available - particularly of a watertight nature?
A. Hi Niel, thanks for your question. 4 in series would require 13.2 volts, so they may not be bright enough to run off the battery. We do not have the heat sink required, but you could consider using 55-2241 ,as these are supplied with the star backing used for heat sinking and are the same but with the heat sink. The lenses are listed below, but they are not waterproof.
