A. Hi Phil, thank you for your question. The manufacturer only states they are suitable against immersion in oils, solvents and fluids so this should not be a problem. They cover the following approvals in the data sheet.
Q. Do you use a standard crimp tool on this connector for two wires ........ what is the heat shrink description mean ... do you have to applied heat to the connector to seal the connector? How does the fitting work? Thanks
A. Hi Tony, thank you for your question. 85-0260 would be suitable for this range of splices. The heat sink part simply requires heat and this will shrink the outer sheath ensuring a good seal and a tight grip of the cable ends, a lighter or hot air gun can be used for the shrink process.
