Tube of 34 high quality 14-pin dual-in-line narrow 7.62mm sockets with black thermoplastic body and tin-plated copper alloy contacts. Sockets have chamfered side walls to assist insertion. One end is indented for easy identification of the polarisation.

Soldering costs

At 0,266 pence per soldered joint a DIL socket packages are an ideal way to start soldering practice for a beginner (VAT is on top). They give regular, similar sized joints which are easy to inspect. They provide the opportunity to coordinate hand movements so that they become natural more quickly also reducing time lost due to clinching components. Rapid's delivery was prompt, as expected.
