A fume and vapour extraction unit that uses a 2m x Ø100mm flexi-duct to vent harmful and unwanted vapours to either a standard domestic vent or a convenient window. Suitable for use within laboratory, workshop, classroom and anywhere where there is a need for the extraction of fumes and fine particles whilst handling: monomers, adhesives, hazardous powders, conformal coatings, resins, sealants, solders, light grinding particles and dusts, organic solvents, etc.
Filtration is carried out by a 3-stage graduated fibre filter that has a high dust holding capacity that prolongs the life of the filter. Performance of this fume cabinet is enhanced by the provision of a clear PETG plastic fume shield which is also removeable, reducing the footprint of the cabinet. The dual process of filtration and extraction together with the design and overall performance of the fume cabinet greatly reduces or eliminates operator exposure to potentially hazardous substances.
