The StarTech.com SLSATAADAP6 150mm Slimline SATA to SATA adaptor cable is a cost-saving solution that allows you to connect a Slimline SATA optical drive to a standard SATA motherboard connection. The adaptor features 1 x Slimline SATA connector (13-pin data & power) on one side and 1 x 7-pin SATA data plus 1 x 15-pin SATA power on the other. Use standard SATA cables to connect to your power supply and motherboard, combining both data and power into the optical drive Slimline SATA connection.
This slim SATA cable is 150mm long, which compared to a standard (non-cable) adaptor, reduces strain on the drive connector and allows for flexible cable routing when positioning the Slimline SATA drive within the system case.
