The Siemens SIPLUS 6ES7223-3AD30-0XB0 SB 1223 is a Digital Input/ Output Module that converts the level of the external digital signals from the process into the internal signal level of the S7-1200, and the internal signal level of the S7-1200 into the external signal level required by the process.
The signal board is plugged directly into the receptacle on the front of the S7-1200 CPU and connects electrically and mechanically to the CPU. The CPU mounting dimensions remain unchanged.
