05 February 2018 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 35-0200
Q. Hi will this make a noise if connected to a battery or does this need to be connected to an output signal form a chip of some sort? Thanks
A. Hi Mark, thank you for your question. This requires a signal applied in the region of 7KHz and no more than 30V peak to peak to operate (a little bit like a tweeter), normally it would be a buzzer you would require to work direct with a DC voltage from a battery.

20 March 2013 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 35-0200
Q. Would this item be suitable to use as a guitar pick up if attached to a 1/4 inch jack and then plugged into a guitar amp? The guitar strings would be nylon. If this isn't suitable could you suggest one that was? Thanks for your time
A. Hi John. Thank you for your question. The part you are looking at are not really suitable, we have some basic wire and magnets you may be able to use but you are not going to make a very suitable pick up for a guitar. This video shows how to make a proper version of a guitar pick up.
