Raspberry Pi SC1771 M.2 HAT+ Compact

The Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ Compact M Key SC1771 enables the connection of M.2 peripherals such as NVMe drives and AI accelerators to Raspberry Pi 5's PCIe 2.0 interface. It supports fast data transfer (up to 500 MB/s) to and from NVMe drives and other PCIe accessories.

The M.2 HAT+ is a versatile mechanical adapter, designed to expand the connectivity of the Raspberry Pi 5 by enabling support for M.2 peripherals such as NVMe SSDs and AI accelerators. It interfaces with the Raspberry Pi single-lane PCI Express 2.0 connection via a 16-pin, 0.5 mm-pitch FPC connector, offering peak data transfer rates of up to 500 MB/s. Available in both Standard and Compact variants, the HAT+ supports M.2 M key devices in the 2230 form factor (Compact and Standard) and 2242 form factor (Standard only). It also conforms to the Raspberry Pi HAT+ specification, ensuring seamless integration and automatic detection by the latest Raspberry Pi software and firmware. Key features of M.2 HAT+ Compact include its ability to supply up to 3A of power to connected devices, making it suitable for use with high-performance peripherals.

The Standard M.2 HAT+ version is supplied with a 16 mm stacking header and threaded spacers, allowing it to be fitted to a Raspberry Pi 5 with the Raspberry Pi Active Cooler already in place.

The M.2 HAT+ Compact version is designed for use within the official Raspberry Pi 5 case, leaving room to fit around the integrated cooling fan. However, it is not compatible with the Active Cooler, as the cooler cannot be fitted beneath it.

Both variants include power and activity LEDs, a ribbon cable, and a knurled double-flanged screw to secure the M.2 device. The M.2 HAT+ is a reliable and future-proof addition to any Raspberry Pi 5 setup.
