This HAT is the official Power over Ethernet (PoE) add-on board for the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+.

The HAT is used to power a Raspberry Pi, via an Ethernet cable, so you don't need a separate power supply - ideal for embedded and IoT projects. For Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ and onwards, an 802.3af compliant POE injector, switch or router device is required (not included).

Suitable applications include embedded design and development, hobby and education, communications and networking, IoT (internet of things), etc.
