Sign InQ. Can this be used just to detect an ultrasonic signal of 40kHz?
A. Hi David, thank you for your question. 35-0180 is a transmitter; this can only send the signal. To receive a signal then you need the receiver - 35-0175. 40kHz is within the range of the above receiver.
Q. Would this be suitable as part of a Bat detector circuit? Bats emit Ultrasonic noises upto 99Khz but many are 25Khz - 60 Khz.
A. The bandwidth for this product is only 2KHz so in reality 38KHz to 42KHZ which is quite narrow for your purposes, I would also have doubts regarding its sensitivity to the level of reception from the bats. I'm afraid we can't offer anything which would be ideal for you.
