The Unicorn pHAT is for those times when you have a Raspberry Pi and you want a subtle and controllable wash of colour for mood lighting, pixel art, PoV effects, tellbacks, etc. The unit is smaller than its big brother, the Unicorn HAT, and has a 8 x 4 matrix of 32 RGB LEDs, powered directly from the Pi.
The Unicorn pHAT uses the same Python library as the Unicorn HAT, so it's super-easy to use and should automatically detect that you're using the pHAT. It includes some examples written specially for the Unicorn pHAT.

- Compatible with Raspberry Pi 3, 2, B+, A+, Zero, and Zero W
- 32 RGB LEDs
- LED data driven via DMA over PWM
- Unicorn pHAT pinout
- Female header requires soldering
Warning: The LEDs are very bright and may cause eye pain if looked at directly.
Photo-sensitivity warning: Flashing, strobing, and patterns of lights may be harmful. Always take care and immediately stop using if you feel unwell (dizziness, nausea, affected vision, eye twitching, disorientation).
Note: Unicorn HAT HD works best with a 2A micro USB power supply for your Pi. We recommend the official Raspberry Pi power supply
75-0532.
Note: As the Unicorn pHAT uses PWM and GPIO18, it may interfere with analogue audio playback (random colour patterns and flickering). HDMI should work just fine.
