Q. What polymer are the gears made out of? My guess would be ABS but I might be wrong.

Q. What is the fastest that this can this spin the metal pole?

A. Hi John, thank you for your question. The RPM is in the data sheet and depends on ration and supply voltage: fastest is 3700 RPM at 3V and 4:1.
