Q. What is the difference between K & J type thermocouple.

A. Hi C R Muddiman, thank you for your question. The primary difference between the two thermocouples are the temperature range: Type K= -330°F to +2460°F (-200°C to +1250°C). Type J = -40°F to +1382°F (-40°C to 750°C)

Q. Can you confirm if the component needs to be wired to suit any polarity or it doesn't matter.

A. Hi Tony. Thank you for your question. This unit is not polarity sensitive so it can be wired either way.
