Kemo M173 Soil Moisture Humidity Sensor Relay Switch Module

This watering regulator module measures the soil moisture and, depending on the result, can be used to turn your watering system on and off. The measuring probe of the module is buried in the ground at the desired depth and is connected to the main module with approx. 2m of cable. The sensor cable can be extended with normal 2-way cable up to 20m. If your garden is to be watered only on certain days or at particular times of the day, a suitably programmed plug-in timer can be used in the mains socket feeding the module's power supply

When the module is first switched on, the moisture of the soil is measured. If the ground is too dry, the watering system is switched on for 25 to 30 minutes. If the ground is adequately wet, the watering system is switched off and the module pauses for approximately 25 to 30 minutes, then measures again and controls the watering system as needed. This sequence is repeated until the operating voltage is switched off.
